All genders, sexual orientations, colors, etc. are welcome! All of us (regardless of gender) will take turns giving the khutbah (sermon) and leading prayer, and everyone will learn some dua (prayers) we can say as a group. We pray Mecca-style; those who prefer gender segregation may stand to the sides. Please bring a prayer mat, if you can.
Jamila will give the sermon on "How to Handle Conflict within Your Self, Family, and Community." If you would like to do the call to prayer, or lead us in prayer, please let Katrina know.
A sadaka (charitable donation) of a few dollars will be appreciated to help pay for the rental space.
Skype will be available for those who can't make it to the Levantine Center. To Skype in: add MPVinLA as a contact on Skype sometime before Friday. If your Skype name is different from your real name, please include a note with your real name when you send the contact request.
